Speaking Evolution at School
Inside and out, your school is a great place to confront some of the communication issues that can make evolution by natural selection difficult to grasp.
More than seventy scientists and educators have been interviewed for the Speaking Evolution project, and while they all have their unique approaches to communicating their knowledge, they agree, “We did not evolve to understand evolution.” Our first Speaking Evolution program for broadcast addresses this problem broadly in two ways:
1) Evolution by natural selection often Looks Like Design;
2) We have no experiential way of understanding Deep Time.
